Post by Bandicoot on Sun Aug 16, 2009 6:28 pm

Date and venue has been changed. There will be a hack show held at GDP on same date, programs for BOR should be out in a few weeks.. asked Mel via Facebook.

I had the date in my diary as 20th Sept.
There are so many breed and other shows coming up, it will be hard to find a weekend with no shows on :O

Yep, GDP Is Globe Derby Park.. sorry.

Mel said they were changing the date, but still had to wait on confirmation of the grounds. Not sure where though.

Seems to be alot going on in show societies this year, with events shifted, shows cancelled and societies having big changes over all.

Word is on the vine that show item sales have slowed down.

What is going on? As it seems to be across the board. Last year everything seemed to flow from start to finish, this year it is turning into a massive clusta - you know what. Is it the financial crisis - not as many people showing or are societies simply peeing off their members! LOL Wink

Either way, this year certianly seems to be a bit of a mess. Shocked

Have to agree completely. Not sure what it is but at SA ARABS we are having our own little issues. But hopefully we will al get our shows off the ground and everyone comes and enjoys themselves. Very Happy

Yeah its a bit of a problem Ems.

I would love to see where these shows are that so we can get breed horses out to.
With a huge scan i reckon i have picked up 4 shows to take mine to this year.

She may not prettiest little thing going around but i love her and its all good for her education in the long run. Plus i think pretty special and deserves to go out Wink

Kapunda are having a breed show in Oct. The schedule is not on their web site yet.

I'm guessing that Breed-O-Rama had hoped that their first choice of venue would have come up better that it has ... Hence the need to find somewhere else..

I am not sure what is going on with all the breed shows - I have not seen a programme for any of the one's coming up :-(

In my diary I have:

Breed O Rama - 20th Sept (now changed?)
Southern Breed Show (Strath) - 4th Oct
Kapunda Breed Show - 11th Oct
Andalusian State Champs (Mt Pleasent) - 15th Nov (The have Andy, Cleavland Bay, Connemara, Friesian, Friesian Cross, Morgan, Lustiano classes)
Northern Hack & Halter - December some time?
