| I am after expressions of interest in my prestige hippos saddle. I bought it off aus horse a week ago advertised as a 17 inch seat, but I am swimming in it and when compared to my friend's 17 inch saddle, I believe my prestige is a 17.5 inch. Will measure to confirm though! So as much as I don't want to have to go through the drama of selling another saddle and buying another as well, there is no point continuing to ride in it! This saddle is over $3000 brand new, and I believe is only a year or two old, and I paid $1350 for it so would really like to get that back. Would also be interested in swapping for a 17 inch saddle of some sort. Must be leather, and I hate Bates and Collegiate saddles, so none of those please. Will try and get some photos of it later. | |

| Well despite me swimming in it, it is still surprisingly comfy. Just puts me so far back my legs don't touch the knee blocks and I can't keep my stirrups! I'm sure I would be 10x comfier if it were 17 inch though! | |

| If the seller advertised it and sold it to you as a 17",- why don't you return it to them and ask for your money back, as it is clearly not what it was advertised as! Good luck with it. | |

| As CP said, as far as I know you have the right to a refund. Although before you contact the seller my advice is to call consumer affairs. For your piece of mind it's a good feeling to know you have the right info incase the seller decides to be a you-know-what. Doesn't matter if it's second hand or new from what I can gather. | |

| Seller has already had a massive go at me on FB about it.. I posted yesterday on my wall that I was over buying saddles and asked for expressions of interest in the saddle, and so she goes on about how she wouldn't have sold it to me if she had known I was going to sell it on straight away, it is a 17 inch saddle and that I should do my research before I buy a saddle. All my friends had a go at her before I could, she hasn't responded since. But yeah, might look into getting my money back. I have had some friends interested in it though, and someone interested in doing a swap for a saddle I really like the look of, so will wait to hear about that first! | |

| ummm.... my oh says that consumer affairs might not be able to help as it was a private sale. So yeah best to call... good luck... hope you're taking screen shots! | |

| where are you measuring from? perhaps the seller didn't know how to measure a saddle. the size is often also printed on it under a flap somewhere.
i believe you measure front button to centre of the cantle? is that right? i wouldn't even know! luckily both my saddles have size stamped cos i'm hopeless!!!
good luck getting it sorted out. | |

| Saddle doesn't have size written on it, and yes, that is where you measure. I somehow suspect the seller did know, but oh well. She will just have to get over the fact that I am selling it on again for being the wrong size. It won't be that hard to sell! My riding instructor is trying it herself right now! | |
