Where to look for Horsey jobs? Empty
PostSubject: Where to look for Horsey jobs?   Where to look for Horsey jobs? EmptySun Feb 03, 2013 9:15 pm

Im hoping to be moving to the Wudinna area shortly and would prefer to work with horses.

Im a British Horse Society Instructor and have worked and managed a large yard in the UK for 10 years - I hold a National Diploma in Equine Business and gained a Distinction in the riding, horse rehab and re-training.

I currently run my own yard schooling/breaking/breeding/selling. And specialize in problem horses and training. (i managed a horse Tv acting yard for many years teaching horses tricks for film work)

In my "spare" time i hunt, event, and Show Jump and used to Show. and i Also have my resident stallion.

If anyone knows of any vacancies that may arise in the Wudinna area even if its 1 day a week please can you pass on my details

Thanks Kim Smile

Hi Kim.... I kinda answered your other post. Best place to look for animal related work in Wudinna area is the stock journal, however there isn't much pure horse work around as it's a farming district.

There is however, alongside the local PC which is quite small, a hunt club not too far away and a show jump club that does the rounds in the area. The local towns also have their annual hack shows, which people from Adelaide go to to get their royal show quallies.

If you are interested in the PC side of things google "Anne Olson PCASA" and you can find her details. Anne and her mother run the Wudinna and Districts Pony Club and Anne is also one of the big wigs in the pony club world here.

There are a few locals in the "area" on here I'm sure they can help you out more Smile

I am sure if you advertise in surrounding towns you would find people wanting lessons. My mum runs the lock post office and my sister in law is a horsey person. They are 2 people you should talk to as well as Anne
