Myler Baucher 5"

Brand new 5" Myler baucher level 1 mouthpiece bit complete with tags (though the one saying level 1 mouthpiece has fallen off somewhere).

$100 plus postage

Bought wrong size, retail for $130 from Bonnetts + have a huge waiting time to bring them in, or $119 from bitbank australia + shipping.

Measures pretty true to size unlike most mylers.

Designed to communicate with the horse with basic training, learning the gaits, transitions and obedience.
- Features a curved mouthpiece for dispersed pressure and ease of swallowing.
- Uses tongue pressure and bar pressure- working mostly off the tongue. Myler bits distribute tongues pressure more evenly than traditional designs.
- Features the Myler "pinch and restrict with release"- the bit collapses on the sides of the bars and comes down into the tongue. When the horse relaxes in the poll, the pressure is released. The horse then learns to come into the "comfort zone".
- The Baucher cheeks offer stability to the mouthpeice and can assist some horses into a more consistent outline.
-This Myler snaffle bit is dressage legal for competition.

I'd be keen on this one...just need to measure my new mare

They have a guide somewhere on how to fit mylers, as more is meant to hang out than with other bits. When I get home I'll have a look for you.

Hmm I can't find it now, the link I had saved is broken. Bugger. It basically said you're meant to see more of the bit sitting out their mouth (about 1cm each side), due to their curved shape. I have a non Myler 5" baucher and this one is pretty spot on for size, unfortunately I need a 5.5" as the top loops squish my girls nose

new mare I'm pretty sure takes a 5 inch bit and has a little space now...BJ would be a 4.75 but it wont be for her mostly anyhow

okay still forgot to measure but 99% sure the bit I'm using on Echo is 5 inch and have about half a cm clearance so not as big on her as I thought. But noticed a rub spot inside her lips in the corner of her mouth so def want to try something else

If you are talking about my french link full cheek one MP, thats a 5.5 inch.... got it for the fat headed ponies I have...

This 5" fits in the mouth of my boofa loofa but it sits on the sides of her face because she has a conk and it gets wide too quickly, the normal non-myler baucher I currently have her on is a 5.5" and only has about 5mm extra clearance to this one, but sensitive ranga pony appreciates the extra room.
