I have recently found out I am pregnant with twins! As a result I am putting out my feelers to see if anyone may be interested in leasing my 3y.o TB as a companion?
He is very quiet and gets along great with other horses but at the end of the day twins is completely different to a single baby so I think a 12 month lease would be best for now..
He is not for sale at this point. He could be ridden if someone was interested in doing so however I have not ridden him due to my pregnancy but have been told he is very quiet to ride. He does need an operation to remove bone chips (which should be happening after he returns from his lease if all goes to plan!) so he can't be ridden too hard. He is lame at the trot but is more than happy to have a hoon around the paddock. He would be fine for trail rides (walk only) and the person would need to respect and listen to him as he does tell you when he is sore.
So with this info kept in mind he would be best suited to be a paddock companion for younger horses, or maybe a retired paddock horse? He is not silly in anyway but to me at this point it is not worth taking any risk, if something was to happen I wouldn't forgive myself.
If noone is interested that is also fine, I am happy to find a paddock and throw himself out by himself for a year but I thought this avenue is worth a try
